Why choose me as your coach?

I am a medical doctor and a qualified parenting coach

I qualified as a doctor in 2005 and specialised in Emergency Medicine in 2012.

I spent years studying brain anatomy, neuroscience, child development and nervous system science. Plus, during my 16 years of clinical work, I had the honour of witnessing how humans think, feel and behave, especially in stressful situations.

I undertook further training as a parenting coach through The Jai Institute of Parenting.

I am qualified to guide you through your own parenting journey using the latest, up to date research in child development and neuroscience so that you KNOW that you will be doing the best by your kids.

I suffered post natal depression

3 months after becoming a Mum, I fell into a hole of anxiety and depression. I panicked when I was alone with Mia. I would beg my husband not to go to work. I saw a psychiatrist on a Friday and by the following Monday, I was admitted to a mother and baby psychiatric unit where we stayed for 5 weeks. It as the hardest thing I've ever been through and the greatest gift.

It means that I am the parent who has felt the overwhelm, the panic, the chaos of it all. I also know what is required to forge a path from surviving to thriving and I want to help as many parents as I can.

In summary, whatever you got, I can handle it. I promise.

Various parenting experiences

I'm a Mum to my strong willed, feisty and highly sensitive 8 year old daughter so I am right in the trenches with you.

I have also been a step-Mum for the last 12 years. I often joke that my parenting journey has been backwards as it started with learning how to parent preteens and teenagers who didn't like the idea of me very much.

Whatever stage of parenting you are at, I have the experience and tools to guide you.
